Editor’s Pick(TNPL): Chepauk Super Gillies - Dindigul Dragons

Chennai is in top form and is looking for a smooth ride into the next level. Dindigul has won only two out of six matches. Both teams have some really good players that you would love to have on your fantasy lineup. While Chennai is almost through and Dindigul is almost out, we shall talk about our fantasy lineup now.

Looking at the data available on the app ( you can cross reference with the scorecard of the matches being played), many players have played extraordinarily well. Some of them are Wilkins Victor (118 points), S Siva (121.5 points), H Gopinath (165 points),N Jagadeesan (85 points), and MS Sanjay (153.5 points). This is apart from the ones I have added to my lineup. These players can also be included. I could not, in the below lineup.

Here’s my lineup

Editor’s Pick: India - West Indies

First Match - Abandoned Second Match - India Beat West Indies by 105 runs. Third Match - India Beat West Indies by 93 runs. Fourth Match - Hmm… I don’t really want to talk about it.
Oh well.. Here goes. It was a rather embarrassing defeat. The series looked very much in the kitty when India had to chase 190 runs. The faithful Indian Fans probably even started celebrating. Even though the first three wickets fell rather early, Rahane stuck in there and hit 60 runs to pave what looked like a really short road to victory. And then came Dhoni. No one would have even considered the chance of a defeat. Not even a pessimist.
Time moved slowly after that. Or at least Dhoni did. He batted and batted and batted. Remember that time Sunny Gavaskar scored a 174-ball 36 runs? It was 1975 all over again. Dhoni’s innings were just as excruciatingly painful. It would have been worth it had India won of course. India fell short of the target and West Indies won by 11 runs. They were probably surprised t…

Need for co-ed sports

Now, this is hardly a feminist piece. I am not here to tell you that women can do anything that men can and better too. One, you know it too. Two, this is hardly about women. I am not here to praise women and demand better rights. I am talking about the possibility that the entire field of sports can take a whole new meaning if gender is not made the criterion. So this is how the idea for the blog started.
The Women’s Indian Cricket Team performed really well at the world cup this year. Mithali Raj praised her team for their hard work, persistence, and passion for the game. She also added that there should be an IPL tournament in the country for the women’s team now. Raj believes that the team’s fantastic game has increased the fan following for the women’s team as well and that they have earned their place here.
While I am honestly not sure about an IPL tournament for women, it did get me thinking. Why not mixed sports? Now that girls play almost all the games that the guys do, why n…
