In the first match, England crushed South Africa by nine wickets. It was a convincing victory that put South Africa in its place. Morgan called it as close to a complete performance as possible. Looks like the new ball bowling made all the difference. Man of the match Jonny Bairstow was immensely pleased with his performance. If you had him in your fantasy lineup, you’d be pleased too.
Earlier in June, we saw Pakistan beat England by eight wickets and South Africa beat Sri Lanka by a colossal 96 runs. Nothing can really be predicted clearly.
But I do have a line up in my head that can be based not just on the performance of the players at the CT but in the previous match. Earlier I had assumed that the lineup in the first match won’t be that different from the second. But looks like I have made a couple of big changes.
Jonny Bairstow
AB De Villiers
Farhaan Behardien
Alex Hales
Jason Roy
Mark Wood
David Willey
Andile Phehlukwayo
Mason Crane
Jos Buttler
Tabraiz Shamsi
